Interactions with Industry Scientists from local industry are involved with the MRSEC in a variety of ways

Representatives from local industry, such as IBM Watson Research Center, attend monthly internal IRG research meetings. The research effort in the MRSEC has integrated research with Dr. Christopher Murray of IBM through a MRSEC-supported postdoctoral scientist jointly working at IBM and Columbia, Dr. Elena Shevchenko. Prof. Stephen O'Brien helps faciliate this interaction.

Several local companies have made key donations of capital equipment to the MRSEC and MRSEC-affiliated facilities, including Codenoll and Philips Research. We encourage industry to contact us about their potential use of the MRSEC experimental facilities.
