Mission
- To establish ISE as Columbia's strategic multidisciplinary arm in chemistry, physics, engineering, and potentially biology and environmental science to promote faculty collaborations across schools.
- To serve as the communication gateway for research activities with an initial focus on advanced materials and nanoscale research.
- To sponsor seminars and other educational activities related to the synthesis, fabrication, and processing of advanced materials as well as related devices and applications.
